Gregor Hasler, from the Psychiatric Department of the University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland, is interested in the neurobiology of mood, anxiety, eating, and pain disorders, amongst other things. He studies particularly the dysfunctions of neurotransmitter systems (dopamine, glutamate, GABA) using pharmacological and psychological provocation methods, positron emission tomography (PET), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRI).
