Scientific sessions, PRBB CRG Conferences

Mitinori Saitou

Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences, Kyoto University. Kyoto, Japan

Mitinori Saitou, from the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences at Kyoto University, Japan, is interested in signaling, global transcription and epigenetic dynamics associated with germ cell specification and development. One of his main contributions to the germ cell field has been the development of systems to generate germ cells in vitro, which can make fully functional sperm and eggs when transplanted back into mice.

He has been invited by Bernhard Payer (CRG).
