Ecology and Genetics of Insects, Institute of Genetics Environment and Plant Protection. Le Rheu Cedex, France

Denis Tagu, from the Institute of Genetics Environment and Plant Protection, in Le Rheu Cedex, France, is interested in understanding how individuals shape their phenotype by integrating environmental clues in their genetic possibilities. He focuses in the great phenotypic plasticity for individual adaptation of insects, and in particular aphids, which are very good models for this since they develop by parthenogenesis, and produce genetic clones. He also develops initiatives to integrate large sets of genomics data from aphids during phenotypic plasticity.

He has been invited by Roderic Guigó (CRG).
