Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. Dresden, Germany
Gene Myers, from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany, has recently been focusing on analyzing and extracting information from images obtained by various forms of microscopy. At present, his projects include imaging of C.elegans, mouse and fly models to automatically extract expression information or to track microtubules and centrosomes during the cell division, amongst others. He is also developing new customized microscopes, for example for imaging a mouse brain. He has been invited by Heinz Himmelbauer (CRG).
