Understanding DNA metabolism using a vertebrate cell-free system

Scientific sessions, PRBB CRG Conferences

Vincenzo Costanzo

DNA Metabolism Unit, Fondazione Istituto FIRC di Oncologia Molecolare. Milano, Italy

Vicenzo Costanzo, from IFOM - Fondazione Istituto FIRC di Oncologia Molecolare in Milan, Italy, is trying to understanding the molecular roles played by vertebrate DNA metabolism genes in various aspects of cell cycle, DNA replication and DNA repair in unchallenged and stressful conditions. In particular, he analyses the coordination of DNA replication, DNA damage repair and DNA damage checkpoint at molecular level. He is interested in dissecting the signal transduction pathways that sense DNA damage and promote cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair.

He has been invited by Luciano di Croce (CRG).
