Timothy Mitchison, from Harvard Medical School, is a world class leader in the molecular mechanism of cell organisation and microtubule dynamics. He is also a key player in development of pharmacological therapeutics that kill cancer cells through effects on microtubule associated molecular motors and activation of tumor-resident macrophages by mimicking viral infection to trigger an innate immune response. He has been invited by Vivek Malhotra (CRG).
