This Wednesday September 5th, the results of the ENCODE project will be published in about 30 papers in Nature, Genome Research and Genome Biology. About twenty researchers affiliated with the CRG's Bioinformatics and Genomics program have participated over the years in this project. We are authors in eight of the manuscripts, and have lead in one of the Nature and three of the Genome Research papers. We designed also (*) the cover of the Genome Research ENCODE special issue in the style of Catalan artist Joan Miro.

Join us for an special ENCODE celebration on Thursday September 6th at 6PM. Tom Gingeras, from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and one of the main leading scientists in the ENCODE project, will deliver a talk about the lessons learned from ENCODE in the PRBB auditorium. This will be followed by drinks and "tapes" at the Charles Darwin Square.

Looking forward to celebrate with you
