CRG and Amical Wikipedia
Wikipedia, born 15 years ago, has become one of the most visited portals in Internet. Moreover, its contributions are not only limited to the expansion of human knowledge to the wide public, but it is also one of the main sources of the ongoing revolution in the way we work together or generate scientific data.
In this presentation we detail some of the major principles behind Wikipedia collaboration, what we often refer as 'the wiki way'. In addition to that, we show several cases of the successful intertwining of science and Wikipedia and their relevance in the opening of science paradigm.
After this talk, a wikimarathon will take place at the PRBB on June 9th, 9 to 3pm. More info here.
