Epigenetic mechanisms in early mammalian development: searching for global chromatin trends

Scientific sessions, PRBB CRG Conferences

Maria Elena Torres-Padilla

Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells, Helmholtz Zentrum. Munich, Germany

Torres-Padilla, from the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells, Helmholtz Zentrum, in Munich, Germany, aims at establishing epigenetic principles of cellular plasticity and cell fate decision making during early mammalian development. Her group studies how the transitions in cell potency and cell fate are regulated by chromatin-mediated processes using a variety of approaches including quantitative imaging, modeling, functional genomics, computational methods and cell biology. She has been invited by Thomas Graf (CRG).
