Sergi Serrano, Joan Albanell, Luis Serrano, and Michela Bertero
The second edition of this symposium is organized by Sergi Serrano, Joan Albanell, Luis Serrano, and Michela Bertero. It takes place on May 16 from 14:30 to 19:00h at the Marie Curie room.
Translating scientific and technological advances from research laboratories to clinical practices has a vast potential for benefit, with the ultimate goals of curing patients and improving people’s health. However, multiple challenges are inherent in this process, including technical, cultural, societal, and ethical issues. This mini-symposium brings together basic researchers from the CRG and clinicians from the Hospital del Mar in an informal setting to exchange knowledge, know-how, and latest results. The ultimate goal of this meeting is to identify research areas of common interest and to allow researchers from both institutions to join forces and work together to tackle complex biological problems and medical unmet needs.
