Lightsheet Microscopy has recently re-emerged with the implementation of fluorescence-based instruments, and is on the verge of becoming a major and routine technique in Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Systems Biology or Oncology.
Since 2004, custom implementations have been published with different names: SPIM, LSFM, Ultramicroscopy. Now, Carl Zeiss has just released their own Lightsheet-based commercial system for fluorescence imaging of living cells and organisms, the Z.1.
This Workshop celebrates the first venue of the Z.1 to Iberia on February 28th and March 1st. Scientists from Spain and Portugal will have the possibility to participate to a Mini-symposium, Practical demos of the Z.1 and other practical demos of custom system developed at the IRB Barcelona, CRG and ICFO.
Scientific Organizers: Julien Colombelli (IRB Barcelona) and Jim Swoger (CRG).
Hosts: IRB Barcelona, CRG and ICFO.
The practical demos at the CRG will take place on Friday March 1. For more information about the programme and for registration: www.lightsheet.es
