Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Interdepartmental Program in Bioinformatics, University of California. Los Angeles, USA

John Novembre, from the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Chicago, USA, aims to address statistical and analytical problems in population genetics to enable discoveries about evolutionary processes and the nature of disease variation. Much of this work investigates questions in evolutionary genomics, focusing on human evolutionary history and using data from emerging next-generation sequencing technologies. He has been invited by Jaume Bertranpetit (UPF).
