Building cellular models with light microscopy

Scientific sessions, PRBB CRG Conferences

Gene Myers

Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. Dresden, Germany

Myers, from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany, is focused on analyzing and extracting information from images obtained by various forms of microscopy. His challenges are to build canonical 3D models of biological systems and map molecular observations onto the model. He is also interested in developing microscopes and software that make observations of in situ and in vivo systems that enable his collaborative partners to advance in molecular and cellular biology. He has been invited by Cristina Pujades (UPF).
