Michael Lisby

Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. Copenhagen, Denmark

Michael Lisby from the Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, is working on transcription, exploiting cross-species comparisons (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, S. pombe, metazoans) to define the function of individual subunits of RNA polymerase II (RNA pol II). He also aims to identify and understand the chromatin remodeling machines that are responsible for correct and timely regulation of chromatin structure, and he is taking a cell biological approach to studying DNA repair using the eukaryotic model organism, Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

He has been invited by Manuel Mendoza (CRG).
