Functional Genomics & Cancer, Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire. Illkirch, France

Robert Schneider, from the Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moleculaire et Cellulaire (IGBMC) in Illkirch, France, focuses on medical epigenetics, with a long-term aim to apply mechanistic insights towards therapy, for example by identifying novel therapeutic targets or new diagnostic markers. He is currently identifying and studying new histone modifications, how these are inherited, how they regulate gene expression/chromatin dynamics, and in particular their role in disease processes such as cancer.

He has been invited by Luciano Di Croce (CRG).
