Genetic Systems Group, Systems Biology Programme, CRG
Ben Lehner is an ICREA Professor and junior group leader in the EMBL-CRG Systems Biology Program. He has a BA and PhD from Cambridge and was a postdoc at the Sanger Institute. His lab studies the causes of phenotypic variation amongst individuals, including the distribution and effects of genetic variation, somatic mutations and epigenetic differences (stochastic/environmental effects).
In this seminar, he will present their recent work on how inherited genetic variation influences dynamic processes and on how synonymous somatic mutations are important in cancer.
