The incorporation of emerging technologies in our body and mind are opening a new era. This "improvement" of the human being to make it more intelligent, long-standing, perfect and happy implies some risks. Today, 17 February, the presentation of the book «HUMANIDAD∞. Desafíos éticos de las tecnologías emergentes» (" ∞HUMANITY. Ethical challenges of the merging technologies") (EIUNSA, 2016), coordinated by Miquel Àngel Serra, project manager of the NeuroPhar Lab of UPF, and Albert Cortina, director of the DTUM Study, will set out the risks associated to the progress in new technologies.
The meeting will be chaired by César Nombela, rector of the International University Menéndez Pelayo of Santander (UIMP), and Teodoro Sanchez-Avila, president of the Foundation Tatiana Perez de Guzmán el Bueno, sponsors of the event. Then, a debate with the presence of the two coordinators of the book, Miguel Angel Serra and Albert Cortina, will be held, and will also count with two of the co-authors, Jon Andoni and Ramon Lopez Duñabeitia Mántaras.
