CEXS-UPF: The 2015 Quiral Report focuses on the public communication on vaccines

On Tuesday 14 June the Studies Center on Science, Communication and Society of Pompeu Fabra University (CCS-UPF) together with the Fundació Vila Casas presented the 2015 Quiral Report: Public communication on vaccines.

Gema Revuelta, director of CCS-UPF and the researcher Clara Armengou, presented the main findings of the report. The event was chaired by Arcadi Navarro, Secretary of Universities and Research of the Department of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Generalitat (Catalan Government) and professor at the UPF, David Comas, director of the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of the UPF (DCEXS), Miquel Vilardell, chief of the Fundació Vila Casas and Antoni Vila Casas, president of the Fundació.

The Quiral Report makes a critical analysis of the flowing information on the media on various issues of health and medicine with the aim of helping to improve the benefit of citizens. Each year, the CCS-UPF carries out the study of public communication issues relevant to society. The 2013 report focused on the study of communication of regenerative medicine, the one in 2012 focused on HIV and AIDS, in 2011, on cancer communication and in 2010, on Alzheimer's disease.
