CEXS-UPF: DCEXS call "Supporting young female scientists with maternity responsibilities"

The UPF Department of Experimental and Health Sciences' María de Maeztu Programme includes a Gender Action Plan with specific funding to help women pursue and consolidate their career in science. The present call aims to support talented and motivated young female scientists with maternity responsibilities in their scientific career development, despite their double burden. The awarded PhD students and junior Post-docs will receive financial support in the form of a salary top up that can be used e.g. for additional childcare.

Conditions
Salary top-up of 200€/ month minimum (the total amount will depend on final budget and number of granted applications).
The financial support can only be established with a full-time UPF contract.
Duration of the grant: 1 year, renewable.

Eligibility criteria
Motivated female scientists, hired full time at UPF as a PhD student or junior Post-doc (in their first five years of postdoctoral contract, excluding months spent on maternity or sick leave).
Mother of at least one child maximum 6 years-old at the time of starting the grant.
