News from the UPF
A study published in the journal Biology Psychiatry and led by Fernando Berrendero, a researcher at the Neuropharmacology Laboratory of the CEXS-UPF shows how the receptors for hipocretina-1 could be an effective target for pharmacological treatment of cannabis dependence. This study describes for the first time the participation of this system in the addiction produced by cannabinoids.
