News from CEXS-UPF
Within the Escolab activities, on March 25, a group of high school students from the school Jaume Balmes of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat visited the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) and toured the laboratories of the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences (DCEXS)
The students' visit focused on the scientific and technical Flow Cytometry service, with a lecture by specialist Oscar Fornas (UPF-CRG). The students also attended a lecture about the structure and function of proteins by Baldomero Oliva, head of the research group in Structural Bioinformatics, who explained the molecular mechanisms of protein interactions.
The DCEXS has carried out six Escolab sessions, coordinated by Laia Agell from the Group in Educational Research in Health Sciences (GRECS) and Mònica Rodríguez from the Department of Communication and Public Relations (PRBB), who has given an introductory talk of the activities as well as the technical and human features of the Park.
