Ehud Shapiro, from the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Department of Biological Chemistry at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, will give a talk entitled “Uncovering stem cell dynamics by reconstructing cell lineage trees” next Friday, September 28 at 12h. He has been invited by James Sharpe (IMIM).

Shapiro is leading research projects at the interface of computer science and molecular biology. He is interested in developing and applying a method for cell lineage reconstruction based on the insight that our cell lineage tree is implicitly encoded in our body.
