Brian Link, from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, US, studies the cellular basis of signaling and the role in development and relationships to disease processes. Link’s lab primarily use zebrafish as a model system and combine imaging based technologies and genome editing. They are interested in the basic cellular processes such as endocytosis, vesicle trafficking and nuclear dynamics are regulated and how signaling networks including Notch, BMP/Smad, and Hippo-Yap/Taz regulate neurogenesis in the retina. He has been invited by Cristina Pujades (UPF).
