Andre Nussenzweig, from the Center for Cancer Research National Cancer Institute, Bethesda (MD) US, focuses on the mechanisms by which all cell types monitor and repair DNA double strand breaks (DSBs). His main goals are to determine the mechanisms by which cells detect, signal and repair DSBs; to elucidate the mechanisms by which oncogenic translocations form; and to determine the influence of chromatin structure on the maintenance of genomic stability. He has been invited by Thomas Graf (CRG).
