Dannie Durand, from the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, will give a talk entitled “Sequence similarity network reveals ancestry of multidomain proteins”, on Friday July 4 at 12am at the lecture room 300.08/350.08 of the PRBB (C/ Dr. Aiguader, 88). She was invited by Roderic Guigó, from the CRG.

Durand works in the development of computational methods for whole genome analysis, the application of those methods to genomic data, and the interpretation of the results in light of contemporary gene and organismal function. She is particularly interested in the study of the evolution of genomic organization and function.
