El clima acompanya, la música ambient també i la Plaça interior del PRBB bull de gent que entra i surt dels diferents espais, pren alguna cosa al bar instal·lat al costat dels arbres, passegen. Voluntaris que van amunt i avall intentant arribar a tot. Com pot ser que no donem l’abast si som més que l’any passat?

Nens i grans omplen la Plaça Darwin i volen fer tots els experiments. Els voluntaris intenten arribar a tothom. Al punt d’informació més voluntaris emplenen sense parar llistes i llistes de visitants que entraran a l’edifici i informen de tot el que poden.

Hi ha molta gent i tothom ho vol fer tot. La terrassa gran de la primera planta, convertida en illes Galápagos s’omple de nens que es posen les closques de tortuga i comproven que segons la forma poden menjar un tipus de vegetació alta o no.

Els joves i grans es miren aplicadament l’exposició sobre Darwin i responen un qüestionari per tal d’aconseguir el petit obsequi que es dóna a la sortida. Els grups de visitants entren i surten i pugen i baixen. Els vermells, els grocs, els verds i els blaus. La gent està contenta i ens felicita espontàniament.

L’obra de teatre “l’evolució, quina revolució!” representada pel grup PeRaBaBaus fa dues sessions, plenes de gom a gom. El cafè científic permet seure, escoltar, preguntar i el públic sembla que no vulgui marxar mai. Finalment una bona batucada del Grup Karabassá, dona el punt i final a la Jornada....tot i que encara es queden els voluntaris a acabar de recollir.

I ara, la satisfacció de la feina ben feta i a continuar cadascú amb lo seu.

Succes of the Open Day 2009

The wheather is perfect, also the background music and the inner square of PRBB is filled with visitors that enter and leave the different spaces, take a drink at the bar or just walk around. Volunteers run up and down trying to help everybody. How can it be that there do not seem to be enough hands, although we were more than last year?

Children and adults fill the Charles Darwin Square and want to do all the experiments. The volunteers kindly assist all of them. At the information point more volunteers fill constantly lists with the visits of the building and inform about everything that they can.

There are lots of visitors who want to experience all the activities. The terrace of the first floor is converted into the Galapagos islands and filled with children who wear the heavy turtle shells trying which shape is better to eat lower or higher plants.

The young and old walk through all the details of the Darwin exposition and answer a questionary in order to get a little present at the exit. The visiting groups enter and leave the building. The visitors of the yellow, the red, the green and the blue tours are happy and congratulate us spontaneously.

The theatre play “Evolution, what a revolution” presented by the group PeRaBaBaus offers two sessions to an animated crowd. Afterwards the scientific coffee allows sitting down, listening, asking and it seemed like the audience does not want to leave. Finally the spectacular Batucada (Catalan drum performance) of the group Karabassa closes the event… although some volunteers stay to help cleaning up.

And now, the satisfaction of having done a good job and everybody going back to his own work.
