Success of the campaign of solidarity for Haiti

The campaign to collect money for Haiti has been a success.

Breakfasts on the terrace on February 8, 9 and 10 exhibited a large collection of excellent homemade cakes made by residents at the PRBB. Many people have asked for the recipe and a new subject has been opened at the Forum in prbb.net, where we already have several recipes.

We encourage you to make them at home and share your own recipes at the forum.

The activities on Thursday 11 worked very well, despite the cold. Due to the intense cold and wind the Flea Market was set inside the big local on the inner square. You could buy a great number and diversity of articles for symbolic prices: great clothes, a washing machine, a DVD player, small furniture, lamps, books, jewellery, kitchen utensils and a good collection of so-called "pongos" (? donde lo pongo?) made up for the variety of the flea market.

The free hot chocolate that Soteras provided, together with the croissants and ‘melindros’ (cookies), helped soothe the cold of both sellers and buyers.

A total of 2.594,29€ was collected, which will be donated entirely to the Emergency Fund of Doctors Without Borders.

51 volunteers participated in the campaign, from cake confectioners and breakfast and flea market sellers. Thank you all for the work done.
