Avui s’ha omplert el PRBB de joves estudiants de batxillerat, molts d’ells acompanyats pels seus professors i per les seves famílies. Es tracta dels participants en el V Premi PRBB en Ciències de la Salut i de la Vida que s’atorga cada any als millors treballs de recerca de batxillerat d’arreu de Catalunya. El premi és una iniciativa conjunta de la Facultat de Ciències de la Salut i de la Vida de la UPF i del PRBB.

Aquesta cinquena edició ha estat un veritable rècord de participació, dons s’ha doblat el nombre de treballs rebuts els anys anteriors. En total han estat presentats 115 treballs de recerca, mentre que l'any passat es van rebre només 58.

El primer premi d’enguany ha estat per la Berta Colom, de l’IES Antoni Torroja de Cervera pel seu estudi: Plantes de cop i falses àrniques de la Segarra: mite o realitat?. El segon premi se l’ha endut l’Eduard Anfruns de l’IES Castell del Quer (Prats del Lluçanès) i el tercer ha estat per dues autores d’un mateix estudi, Aina Carafi i Meritxell Moremo de l’IES El Castell d’Esparraguera.

Els assistents han pogut veure l’exposició de treballs instal.lada a la plaça interior, assistir a una explicació sobre el parc i passejar per l’edifici. Desprès de l’acte de lliurament dels premis a tots els guardonats, la guanyadora del primer premi, la Berta Colom, ha explicat magníficament el seu estudi realitzat amb un gran rigor metodològic i científic. A continuació els assistents han gaudit d’un aperitiu a la terrassa de l’Auditori.


Award ceremony for the V PRBB Prize

Today, PRBB was filled with highschool students, many of them accompanied by their teachers and parents. They were participants of the V PRBB Prize in Life and Health Sciences” competition that awards each year the best research works in highschools around Catalonia. The award is an initiative of the faculty of Experimental Health and Life Sciences of the UPF and the PRBB.

This fifth edition has broken records of participation and doubled the number of research works received in comparison to the other years. A total of 115 works were presented, whereas last year only 58 competed for the prize.

The first prize of this year goes to Berta Colom, from the highschool IES Antoni Torroja in Cervera for her study: Medicinal plants and false Arnicas of the Segarra: Myth or reality?. The second prize goes to Eduard Anfruns from IES Castell del Quer (Prats del Lluçanès) and the third to two authors of the same study Aina Carafi and Meritxell Moremo from IES El Castell in Esparraguera.

The assistants to the ceremony could see the exposition of all works installed at the inner square of the park, listen to a presentation of PRBB and visit the building. After the award ceremony the winner of the first prize, Berta Colom, presented in an impressive way her research work, that she developed with a high level of scientific rigour. The event closed with snacks and drinks at the terrace of the PRBB conference hall.
