Bicis i PRBB

Benvolguts usuaris de bicicletes,
La direcció del PRBB és plenament conscient del problema que plantegeu i us informem que s’està buscant la solució més adient per evitar els robatoris i actes vandàlics de les bicicletes del personal resident al PRBB. Defensem sense reserves que cal potenciar l’ús de la bicicleta com transport no contaminant i alternatiu, i per tant contribuirem en tot allò que sigui possible per millorar les condicions d’aparcament i seguretat.
En qualsevol cas cal que tingueu en compte les següents consideracions:
1) El PRBB, a més d’una infraestructura per a usos científics, és un edifici singular que ha de complir amb determinats criteris estètics i arquitectònics, que no depenen exclusivament de la direcció del PRBB. Els arquitectes i les administracions implicades han d’autoritzar qualsevol modificació que afecti al recinte.
2) Legalment no podem assumir la responsabilitat de custodiar les bicicletes dins del recinte del PRBB, però estem examinant alternatives.
Per tot això les millores que intentem buscar, amb l’ajut de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, passen per ubicar més aparcaments de bicicletes en zones més segures, sempre tenint en compte les consideracions exposades anteriorment. També estem a l’espera d’un assessorament del BACC (Bicicleta Club de Catalunya) amb relació a possibles solucions al problema.
Per tant, us prego una mica més de paciència i em comprometo a trobar una solució que millori aquesta qüestió durant les properes setmanes.

Bikes and PRBB
Dear bike users,
The management of PRBB is totally aware of the problem that you raise. We inform you that we are looking for the most adequate solution to prevent vandalism and robberies of bikes of personnel working at PRBB. We agree fully that the use of bikes should be promoted as a way of alternative transportation that does not contaminate. Therefore we will contribute with all that is in our hands to improve the conditions for parking and security.
Nevertheless we want you to be aware of the following considerations:
1) PRBB, apart from being a scientific infrastructure, is a singular building that has to accomplish different aesthetic and architectonic aspects that do not depend exclusively of the PRBB management. The architects and the public administrations, who are involved, need to approve any modifications that concern the site of the building.
2) Legally we can not assume the responsibility to watch over bikes within the borders of the site of the PRBB building, but we are checking alternatives.
Because of this, the improvements that we are looking for, with the help of the City Council of Barcelona, are mainly to position more bike parkings in secure areas, having always in mind the restrictions above mentioned. We are also waiting for advice of BACC (Bicicleta Club de Catalunya) to provide other possible solutions to the problem.
I kindly ask you to have a little more patience and I promise to find a solution that improves the actual situation in the next weeks.
